People are always looking for iPhone games that will allow them to play by themselves but iTag Live is one of the few innovative games that actually requires more than one player. The game itself is fairly basic, but if you are able to play in a location with a lot of nooks and crannies, and you have enough players then iTag Live can entertain you for hours. The great thing about this game is that it is modeled after virtual laser tag, but you won’t need to purchase expensive or bulky equipment in order to ‘tag’ you opponents. The game maker, ICS Mobile, thinks that the game will appeal to college students that live in dorms and teens more than others, although players of all ages have downloaded the game. The company has made a deal with a company that offers a service similar to Powwownow conference calls so that players can communicate with others during the actual game.
Although the game can’t compete with the Kinect, it does offer smart phone users a way to stay active and healthy while still playing an action packed game. Some users in Italy and France have experienced connectivity issues, but the game developer is currently working on an update that will alleviate these problems. Simply put, you won’t find another iPhone game like this anytime soon. Almost every other smart phone game is made for single players, which is understandable considering that there are many other hand-held devices that encourage cooperate game play. Approximately 1,000 people downloaded iTag Live within the first 24 hours that it was available and thousands more upload the game on their iPhones each week. With ICS working hard on a new and improved iTag Live, iPhone owners can expect many added features and improvements when the next generation is finally made available.
